Option 2: 53 min (11 mi)
Blue River Dam in Homesville
Round Trip From Blue Springs City Park to the Homesville Power Plant Dam and back to the Blue Springs City Park via W Broad St.
1. Start at location: Blue Springs City Park at intersection of Broad & A Streets
2. Head east on E Broad St passing the Blue Springs Dam in east Blue Springs east toward Chief Standing Bear Trail
3. Arrive at location: Chief Standing Bear Trail - Blue Springs Trailhead
4. Head north on Chief Standing Bear Trail continuing along the Trail
5. Slight right to stay on Chief Standing Bear Trail
6. Turn left onto E Linden Rd to Holmesville Power Plant Dam location
7. Head east on E Linden Rd back toward Chief Standing Bear Trail
8. Turn right (south), Chief Standing Bear Trail
9. Keep right to stay on Chief Standing Bear Trail
10. Arrive at Chief Standing Bear Trail - Blue Springs Trailhead
11. Head west on E B Line/E Broad St
12. Head west on E Broad St toward River St return to Blue Springs City Park​

4. Turn left onto NE Hwy-8 E
5. Arrive at location: Barneston Trailhead
6. Head west on NE Hwy-8 W toward Chief Standing Bear Trail

8. Return back east on NE Hwy-8 E toward Chief Standing Bear Trail
9. Arrive at location: Barneston Trailhead
