OPAT- Blues, Brats, & Bikes in Blue Springs, NE Dam Bike Ride 

Registration for 6-3-2023

The Dam Bike Ride is a highlight of the Blues, Brats, & Bikes festival in Blue Springs, NE. The ride will be held on June 3, 2023 starting at 3:00 p.m. Riders will choose to ride to the Dam on the Blue River in Blue Springs, Holmsville, and/or Barneston, Nebraska.

Riders will start and finish at the Blue Springs Park, corner of 'A' and Broad Streets. Put the brakes on at the end of the ride to feast on tasty brats and beers then listen to Blue Grass and Blues bands in the park.

Registration is $40 for the ride, a tee-shirt, 2 tickets good for a brat or drink, and entry in a drawing for two $125 VISA Gift Cards. Register early by May 15 for a shirt. Final registration is May 30.

Round Trip From Blue Springs City Park (next to the Methodist Church) at 101 W Broad St, Blue Springs, NE 68318 to the Blue River Dam in Blue Springs City Park, via W Broad St,

2. Arrive at location: Dam on Blue River in  Blue Springs

3. Return west on E Broad St toward N Douglas St

Blue River Dam in Homesville

Round Trip From Blue Springs City Park to the Homesville Power Plant Dam and back to the Blue Springs City Park via W Broad St.

1. Start at location: Blue Springs City Park at intersection of Broad & A Streets

2. Head east on E Broad St passing the Blue Springs Dam in east Blue Springs east toward Chief Standing Bear Trail

3. Arrive at location: Chief Standing Bear Trail - Blue Springs Trailhead

4. Head north on Chief Standing Bear Trail continuing along the Trail

5.  Slight right to stay on Chief Standing Bear Trail

6. Turn left onto E Linden Rd to Holmesville Power Plant Dam location

7. Head east on E Linden Rd back toward Chief Standing Bear Trail

8. Turn right (south), Chief Standing Bear Trail

9. Keep right to stay on Chief Standing Bear Trail

10. Arrive at Chief Standing Bear Trail - Blue Springs Trailhead

11. Head west on E B Line/E Broad St

12. Head west on E Broad St toward River St return to Blue Springs City Park

Shared route: Round Trip

From Blue Springs City Park to the Barneston Trailhead and back to the Blue Springs City Park via Chief Standing Bear Trail.

1. Head east on W Broad St crossing the bridge continuing east

2. Turn right Chief Standing Bear Trail

3. Continue straight (south) on Chief Standing Bear Trail

4. Turn left onto NE Hwy-8 E

5. Arrive at location: Barneston Trailhead

6. Head west on NE Hwy-8 W toward Chief Standing Bear Trail

7. Arrive at location Dam at Barneston

8. Return back east on NE Hwy-8 E toward Chief Standing Bear Trail

9. Arrive at location: Barneston Trailhead

10. Head west on NE Hwy-8 W toward Chief Standing Bear Trail
